With the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI), HBO produced a “On This Day” pop-up gallery in NYC highlighting historical moments within EJI’s four pillars – Racial Injustice, Children in Prison, Mass Incarceration and the Death Penalty , plus artwork from African American artists. The event included a conversation between Sia Sanneh and Jelani Cobb about EJI, their work and the importance of the documentary. Then, Cyrus Aaron and the BLK HRS gave a spoken word performance about racial injustice in America.
